Daily Update

Mrs Wolfe - 21 May 2020

Good morning Palm class!  How are you all today?  Did you enjoy yesterday's sunshine?  It was such a fabulous day, wasn't it? Fingers crossed for another lovely sunny day today.

How are your acts of kindness going so far this week? Have you been kind to nature, or allowed nature to be kind to you?  Perhaps you are helping around the house, or offering to do some extra jobs to help people at home.

Today's kindness challenge is to offer to do something helpful at home you've never offered to do before - try it...it will make such a difference to you and the person you are offering your help to.

Has anyone shown you an act of kindness?  Remember to let me know how you've got on at the end of the week.

I've had some lovely news coming in this week, lots going on at home - reed painting, sewing, crafts, baking...it is so fantastic to hear what you are getting up to.  It's great to hear that you are also doing your maths and English sessions each morning and reading lots, of course!  It will really help your learning on your return to school if you do a little every day.

For all our budding artists out there (I know we have a lot!) keep 4pm this afternoon free!  The illustrator, Rob Biddulph has organised a world record attempt and is doing so by hosting the world's largest online art lesson.  The goal is to bring together thousands of people, of all ages, from households all across the world to teach them how to draw the same picture at the same time.

It will be an official Guinness World Records title attempt so if you take part you have the chance to make history... from home. The project is also raising money to support the fight against COVID-19. In order the get the record, they need over 10,000 people to actively participate in the lesson, so why not register NOW at www.artworldrecords.com and attend the lesson today at 4:00-4:30pm BST.

Visit http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob for more information, please seek permission from an adult before registering.

If you do participate it would be lovely to see your artwork, so please ask your parent/carer to email it in.

Have a super day today, I'm available on the class email 9-10am this morning.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Mrs Wolfe smiley
