Weekly Update 25th March

25 Mar 2021

As we come to the end of term, I remain amazed by how well the children in Palm have embraced all the new routines and life all together back at school. It has been lovely to see them all playing together and thoroughly enjoying each other’s company. A real treat after the last few months of lockdown.

In Maths we have been continuing our topic on Fractions and although it is tricky the children have really risen to the challenge.
Our Collective Worship this week has been focusing on the Easter Story and we have been reflecting on how we can help others in our own small way every day. We have been doing a lot of discussion about what we can do, and I hope to hear how your children have been helping around the house!

We combined our day of reflection this week with our mindfulness art. We used our newly learned watercolour techniques to paint a beautiful cross. I hope you like some of the examples attached.

In English we have been looking at antonyms and how we can include them in our writing. Have a look at some of our wonderful examples from our class working wall. I think you will agree that they are fabulous!

A huge well done to all those who took part in raising money for Comic Relief! There were some amazing activities and so much money was raised. You should be immensely proud of yourselves children!
I hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday!
