Mrs Peacock - 06 Sep 2018

I hope that you have all had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the break. School has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks with so much going on. The children have been amazing since their return to school - they are coping well with the changes to routine due to the building work. It is great for them to see the new building evolve. The new classrooms are going to be amazing - we can't wait.

It has been great to welcome the children back to school - they all look very smart in their uniforms and my how they've all grown - must be the good Yorkshire air! We say a special welcome to our 14 new starters in OAK - they have had a busy few days with Miss Oates and Mrs Pawson and made a great strat to life at Kirkby School. There are lots of exciting things ahead as we begin our topics. Our KS2 children are heading off to Murton Park to start their studies about the past with a 'hands on' day. We hope that you will be able to join us for our 'Start of Term' service at St. Andrew's Church on Tuesday September 11th at 9.15 am. The children have a busy day ahead as they will also be having 'First Aid' training led by Ruth Watson following the service.

We have also have a busy year ahead and look forward to working with you and your continued support.

Kind Regards
Andrea Peacock
