Weekly Update Thursday 18th December 2025
Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
New this week…
Message from Mrs Taylor
As the Christmas season approaches, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and for the lovely gifts and cards received by school.
It has been a term filled with hard work, exciting opportunities and many achievements, and I am incredibly proud of our whole school community.
I hope the festive break offers everyone the chance to rest, recharge and enjoy special moments with family and friends.
On behalf of all the staff and governors, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year, refreshed and ready for the opportunities ahead.
Spotlights from Learning…
Acorn & Oak class
Acorn and Oak class have had an amazing theatrical time this week. Our trip to the see the production of the Stick man was a great success, enjoyed by all. We were so proud of how the children represented our school with their wonderful, respectful behaviour. The children also shone like stars in their nativity performance. The singing and acting was amazing, they brought us much joy and delight. We are so proud of all of them.
Palm class
We have been mastering our art skills over the past few weeks and have just finished some fabulous self-portraits. We have paid careful attention to the shapes and lines we can see on faces to help us draw accurate pictures. I wonder if the children will draw any more portraits over the holidays?
Cedar Class
This week we have loved learning all about different sketching techniques and developing our knowledge, skills and understanding of self-portraits in Art. Looking closely at the work of Pablo Picasso, Quinton Blake and Frida Kahlo. We have now started our own self portraits which we will be finishing in class this week with some amazing results. Why not ask your child to draw your portrait over Christmas, it would make a fantastic Christmas gift.
