Weekly Update Thursday 7th December 2023

07 Dec 2023

Our Vision

We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.

New this week…

Flu Vaccinations
North Yorkshire Immunisation Team are visiting the school on Monday 11th December 2023.  Please ensure that you have completed the Flu consent form using this link so that your child can be vaccinated in school. Please note, if you have already completed the consent form, you do not need to fill in another form. Please note the consent link will close 48 hours before they visit our school.
Christmas Cards
From Friday 8th December, we will have our special Christmas post box set-up in the hall. Here, the children can post their Christmas cards for all members of the school and our brilliant school council will work as the postal service and deliver these to classes. To help make sure cards get to the right place, please ensure the name and class (Acorn, Oak, Palm or Cedar) are written clearly on the envelope. Thank you.
SEN Parent meeting
Our termly SEN parent catch-up meeting, which has been a huge success in the past, will be held on Thursday 14th December at 8.45 - 9:45am. We will meet to discuss and share anything SEN, but I thought we could have a focus of 'Christmas' this time - we will celebrate the joys but also discuss the challenges. If you would like to attend, please email e.oates@kirkbymalzeard.n-yorks.sch.uk so I can make sure we have enough biscuits!
PCSO Visit
We will be welcoming into school Alison Swan, our PCSO, on Wednesday to work with the children on 'clever never goes'. This forms part of our PSHE focus this term of keeping safe. Please click here to learn more about the phrase 'clever never goes' so you can support at home.
