Weekly Update Thursday 8th January 2026

Our Vision

We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.

New this week…

Happy New Year, hope you have all had a lovely Christmas. The whole staff team would like to express their thanks for all of the kind treats and cards received at the end of term, they are greatly appreciated by us all. We are all very excited for the wonderful learning adventures that we will be sharing this term!
KS2 Theatre Trip

After the excitement of the Acorn and Oak theatre visit last half term, we have started the term with an exciting evening at Leeds Playhouse this time with KS2 to see Christmas Carol. The performance was very exciting and we were excited to see the costumes, dancing Christmas baubles and the use of British Sign Language on stage. I wonder which was your favourite spirit? We have had a fabulous trip and the children have made us very proud. A huge thanks to our community of helpers who came with us.

PCSO visit to school
Our local PCSO will be visiting school on Friday to talk with us all about ‘Clever Never Goes’, this is part of our PSHE work as well as being part of our 3B’s work on keeping safe.

Science workshop
KS2 are welcoming ‘Love Science’ into school next week to revisit some of our previous science learning and ‘Sticky Knowledge’ on forces and magnets, these sessions are always great fun and we loves to get ‘hands on’ with our science learning. I wonder if we can share any of our knowledge with you at home?

Class Collective Worship

Each week one of our Collective Worship sessions takes place in class with a focus on something in the news. Attached in a take home that you might like to think about and share with your child at home, there is no need to return this to school.
