Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
A Huge Thank You and Happy Easter! 🐣
As we reach the end of another incredibly busy and productive term, I wanted to send a quick note of thanks.
It was lovely to see so many of you at our Easter celebration! Your support makes these events special for the children and helps our school community thrive.
I also want to say a huge thank you to the children. They have worked exceptionally hard this term, and it has been a joy to see the enthusiasm they’ve brought to the classroom every day. They truly deserve this break!
I hope you all have a relaxing and restful Easter holiday, and I look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for the summer term.

New this week…
Changes to breakfast club provision:
As breakfast club is becoming increasingly popular, we have reviewed the provision to ensure we can continue to open this provision to everyone who needs this, and therefore will be making the following changes.
Breakfast club will continue to run from 7.30 am – 8.45 am
but breakfast will only be served until 8am.
Should you wish for your child to have breakfast, they will need to arrive before this time. If you plan on dropping your child/ren after this time, please ensure they have had breakfast before they arrive to school.
These changes will be effective from
Monday 16th March 2026.
Thank you for your support.
Comic Relief, Red Nose Day -
Friday 20th March
Thank you for your support. We raised an impressive £141.01.
KS2 Lost Property
Our lost property basket is over flowing with unnamed belongings. It is placed outside on the playground before and after school (weather dependent) - please take a moment to check if any of the belongings are your child’s. We will clear the basket over the holidays and any unclaimed belongings will be sent to charity or put in the bin.
Spotlights from Learning…
Acorn Class
We have finished writing our amazing stories inspired by the book ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. We have also been busy making castles and applying for a job in a castle! I wonder who will get the role of Minstrel, Knight or Cook? We have also decorated a beautiful Easter tree.
Oak Class
Shape has been our recent topic in maths and children have enjoyed investigating 2D polygons and 3D shapes, including learning about polyhedrons. We have investigating hour flat shapes can be joined to make closed 3D shapes. Ask your child about real life examples of different shapes around the home. Can they describe them using maths vocabulary for example number of edges, vertices and faces and can they name them?
Palm Class
In PSHE we have been reflecting on money and work. We have been thinking about the motivation and reasons why people work and what happens to the money that is earnt. We also reflected on our own talents and interests to think about jobs we are interested in learning more about - there is such variation from spies to singers, gymnasts to engineers, music producers to NASA scientists and so much more. Perhaps you could talk about the jobs people have in your families and their motivations behind doing these jobs?
Cedar Class
We have completed our experiments on photosynthesis. Please ask your child to explain the results.

Wellies and Trainers
We have noticed that some children’s feet have grown, we will be sending wellies and trainers home over the holiday for you to check them and return them to school after the break. Thank you.
Headlice/nits
We have several cases of headlice in school, please can you check your family’s hair and treat as necessary. Local pharmacists are a very helpful source of information and can advise on which treatment is currently the most effective in our area. Please follow the instructions on the treatment carefully and don’t forget to retreat your family, this is usually required a week after the first treatment.
Warm/Waterproof coats
It has been a little warmer and we have even seen the sun this week, however, we like to spend as much time outside as possible, children do need to have a warm waterproof coat with them every day to keep us warm, dry and happy outside.
Packed Lunches
Please can we remind parents of all children to continue to cut grapes and similar items such as
cherry tomatoes to reduce the risk of choking for all children. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our children safe.
Safeguarding, Health and Wellbeing Updates…
School Car Park - Please do not park in the school car park. This is for health and safety reasons as space is very limited. We appreciate your co-operation with keeping everyone safe.
Safety on site
A polite reminder to keep to the footpaths around the school site and avoid walking on the grass when arriving at and leaving the school site, several areas of grass near to the footpaths are now coned off as they are very slippery and dangerous.
A reminder that playing on the grass at the front of school and climbing on the walls is not safe for anyone and is therefore not allowed. Thank you for helping us too keep our children safe around school.

Message from Keira in Year 6
🍅 Tomato Plant Sale 🍅
To help raise money for my trip to Switzerland with the Girlguides, I have been growing baby Sugarbell tomato plants from seed.
I now have lots of plants ready, and I am asking for kind donations (suggested donation £2.50) in exchange for a plant. 🌱🍅
I will be selling them on the school playground at 2pm pick-up on Friday 27th March.
If you can’t make it, you can message my mum, Helen, to reserve a plant (or more!) and arrange collection from my house or local delivery from Wednesday 25th.
Thank you so much for supporting me – it really means a lot! I am super excited about this trip and very grateful for your help.
Phone: 07921 220074 (Helen)
Thank you again,
Keira

Will the little pigs outwit the wolf and what kind of house will they build? A funny, warm-hearted and interactive rustic tale to make you squeal with laughter, bristling with puppets, live music and lots of joining in!
Garlic Theatre is one of the most loved touring puppetry companies in the UK, receiving regular Arts Council project funding and touring the UK and abroad for the last 20 years.
